Wolf's Ridge at Worthington Inn is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to support our existing Executive Chef in leading our culinary team and to further develop a food program centered on quality, consistency, hospitality, and operational excellence. This role is ideal for a chef who enjoys menu development and creative collaboration but also understands that successful culinary operations are built through strong leadership, proper systems, financial accountability, and team development. We are looking for someone who can not only create great food but also create an environment where team members are supported, held accountable, and given the tools they need to succeed. The primary responsibilities for this position will be focused on menu development & execution and operational & administrative management. What You'll Be Responsible ForCulinary Leadership Lead and develop all back-of-house team members. Recruit, train, coach, and mentor culinary staff. Create a culture of accountability, communication, and continuous improvement. Foster a positive and professional work environment. Menu Development & Execution Develop seasonal menus and specials that align with the Worthington Inn brand. Create dishes that balance creativity, profitability, and operational efficiency. Ensure recipe consistency, portion control, and plating standards. Drive menu innovation while maintaining strong food cost controls. Operational Excellence Build and maintain prep systems that support smooth service execution. Create and manage kitchen pars and ordering systems. Oversee inventory management and product rotation. Monitor food quality and consistency across all services. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations. Financial & Administrative Management Manage labor budgets through effective scheduling. Analyze food costs and identify opportunities for improvement. Develop purchasing strategies that support profitability. Work closely with leadership on forecasting, budgeting, and operational planning. Utilize inventory, scheduling, and reporting tools to support business decisions. Team Development Provide ongoing coaching and culinary education. Develop future leaders within the kitchen. Create clear expectations and performance accountability. Support employee growth through training and mentorship. What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications Minimum 5 years of culinary leadership experience. Previous experience as a Sous Chef, Executive Chef, Kitchen Manager, or similar leadership role. Strong understanding of food costing, labor management, inventory control, and purchasing. Experience building schedules and managing labor budgets. Knowledge of menu engineering and profitability analysis. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Preferred Qualifications Degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related field. Experience in chef-driven restaurants. Experience developing seasonal menus and specials.
