Job Description

Overview We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sushi Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. In this role, you will craft authentic and visually stunning sushi dishes that delight our guests and elevate their dining experience. Your expertise in sushi preparation, culinary techniques, and attention to detail will be essential in maintaining our high standards of quality and presentation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your creativity while working in a lively, fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence. Responsibilities Prepare a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese-inspired dishes with precision and artistry Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in all food preparation areas Develop innovative sushi recipes and presentation styles to keep menus fresh and engaging Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy hours Manage ingredient inventory, monitor freshness, and order supplies as needed Educate team members on proper sushi techniques and culinary best practices Uphold a positive team environment through effective communication and teamwork Qualifications Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar culinary role specializing in Japanese cuisine Strong knowledge of sushi ingredients, knife skills, and traditional preparation methods Ability to develop new recipes and adapt dishes based on customer preferences Excellent classroom management skills for training junior staff or apprentices Experience with culinary curriculum development or teaching is a plus Familiarity with food safety regulations and sanitation standards Passion for creative presentation, photography of dishes, and culinary innovation Background in working with children or adults in educational or community settings is advantageous Knowledge of additional skills such as ballet, dancing, theater, sewing, or childcare is considered a bonus but not required Join us to bring artistry and precision to every plate! Pay:
$13.00 - $15.00 per hour
