Job Description

The Springs at Murrayhill is seeking an experienced Sous Chef who brings both strong culinary skills and a warm, professional presence to our full-service kitchen. High-quality food and an exceptional dining experience are a priority in our community, and the Sous Chef plays a key role in supporting and elevating our dining team. This position works closely with the Executive Chef and Food & Beverage Director to ensure consistent execution, exceptional presentation, and a positive kitchen culture—while setting the standard for culinary excellence.
Schedule :
Full-Time •must be available weekdays & weekends•Responsibilities Ensure meals are consistently prepared and served with attractive presentation Prepare meals according to The Springs Living menus, recipes, portion control standards, and special dietary guidelines Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and health department policies and procedures Resolve resident dining concerns promptly and professionally Ensure proper food storage, labeling, dating, and inventory standards are maintained Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including equipment, surfaces, and floors Complete cleaning tasks according to established schedules Supervise food service team members in the absence of the Food & Beverage Director Assist with food inventory management and ordering as directed Qualifications Professional culinary experience required Culinary certificate or formal training preferred Strong leadership and teamwork skills Commitment to quality, consistency, and resident satisfaction Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Why You'll Love Working at The Springs Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance Matching 401(k) PayActiv - on-demand access to earned wages Scholarship opportunities for employees and their children Career growth and advancement opportunities Leadership training and coaching Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Fun, inclusive, and supportive work environment
