Sous Chef - The Way West (Bend, OR) The Way West is looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join our team. We're a smokehouse, butcher shop, and bar focused on quality food, great hospitality, and creating a fun place to work. This position is perfect for a motivated kitchen leader who enjoys working alongside their team and takes pride in serving great food every day. Compensation & Benefits $55,000-$65,000 annual salary (DOE) Full healthcare coverage 80 hours paid time off Opportunities for growth within our restaurant group What You'll Do Assist the Executive Chef in leading daily kitchen operations Help manage prep, production, and service Train and support cooks and prep staff Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards Ensure cleanliness, organization, and food safety throughout the kitchen Assist with inventory, ordering, and cost control Lead by example and help build a positive kitchen culture What We're Looking For Previous Sous Chef experience or strong leadership experience in a professional kitchen Ability to stay organized and composed in a fast-paced environment Strong work ethic and attention to detail Team-first attitude Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed If you're ready to join a growing team and help build something special in Central Oregon, we'd love to hear from you.
