About Us:

Join our nurturing and vibrant preschool where we provide a safe, joyful, and educational environment for young children. We believe that nutritious meals play a crucial role in the development and well-being of our students, and we are looking for a passionate and experienced Preschool Chef to join our team in July for our 26-27 school year.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and prepare healthy, balanced, and age-appropriate meals and snacks for preschool children, following dietary guidelines and catering to allergies or special dietary needs. Develop a rotating menu focused on local and seasonal foods that are both nutritious and appealing to young children. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen that meets health and safety regulations. Order, receive, and manage inventory of food and kitchen supplies, ensuring the freshness and quality of all ingredients. Collaborate with the preschool staff to coordinate meal times and discuss the dietary needs and preferences of children. Engage with children and staff to create a positive and educational dining experience. Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation standards in the kitchen.

Qualifications:

Experience as a chef or cook, preferably in a preschool or childcare setting. Knowledge of child nutrition and dietary requirements. Food handler certification Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively. Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with children, staff, and parents. A passion for healthy cooking and working with children.
