Job Description

Revolution Hall is seeking an experienced, hard working, high energy Sous Chef to act as the right hand to our kitchen manager in our busy kitchen and catering program. Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupport kitchen manager across all duties as neededAssist kitchen manager in our events catering program, acting as catering lead as neededLead kitchen in absence of kitchen manager, ensuring great communication and smooth service.

Support systems to ensure all food related staff are well trained, supported and can succeed in their positions. Support with training all kitchen staff to the highest standards of quality and cleanliness. Support with training all kitchen staff on safety, company policies and products.

Engagement and support of the Catering program by working Event shifts regularly. Act as kitMaintain facility cleanliness systems.

Participate in development of Burger of the Month ideation through executionSupport in Kitchen inventory and ordering as requested. Be the line of communication from kitchen crew to Kitchen ManagerQualifications2-3 years leadership experience3-5 years food service experience3-5 years experience and knowledge of working on kitchen lines with efficiency in high volume.

Able to lead the line from Expo or any station on the lineDetail orientedAbility to prep and plan out a busy serviceExperience working working with multiple purveyors, placing and receiving ordersAbility to foster a positive and nurturing environment for kitchen staffOLCC certifiedMultnomah County Food Handlers certification
