Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Utility Worker and Experienced Catering Chef to join our dynamic hospitality team. This dual-role position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who excel in food service, food preparation, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and efficiency in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting catering operations, ensuring smooth kitchen functions, and delivering exceptional hospitality experiences. This role is essential for maintaining the quality and professionalism expected in our culinary and service teams. This position requires you to work from May 18, 2026 to May 31, 2026 and be flexible with hours. Responsibilities Assist with food preparation, including chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients to support catering and kitchen operations. Serve food and beverages efficiently at events, banquets, and dining areas while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Buss tables promptly to ensure cleanliness and readiness for new guests or events. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, dining spaces, and service stations by adhering to sanitation standards. Support catering setup and breakdown, including arranging tables, linens, and serving stations. Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and hygiene practices. Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock needs. Contribute to the overall cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas to uphold health regulations. Support team members during busy service times by performing various tasks as needed to ensure seamless operations. Requirements Proven experience in food service, catering, or restaurant environments with a focus on hospitality. Knowledge of food preparation techniques, food handling safety, and sanitation standards. Prior banquet or large event catering experience is highly desirable. Strong skills in bussing, serving, cooking, and general kitchen operations. Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills coupled with a professional attitude. Experience with cleaning protocols and maintaining hygiene standards in commercial kitchens. Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
