Job Overview The Gardens at Applecross is a premier new Wedding and Special Events facility located in the heart of Chester County. www.gardensatapplecross.com The Gardens features the "Masterpiece" which is a sensational all-inclusive Wedding Package with a variety of culinary creations and presentation opportunities. This position will be part of the team to fine tune and put their own brush strokes to the Masterpiece. We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sous Chef / Banquet Chef to lead our Wedding and Special Events venue. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. This position will play a crucial role in the management and execution of medium and large-scale Weddings and Special events, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. COMBI OVEN COOKING

is deployed at the Gardens and related experience is a plus. Prepare and turn out a variety of menu items for banquets and events, standardizing recipes and presentation standards. Some al carte dining work in the shoulder seasons will be part of this job. A la carte operations revolve around the Member's Grill, which is a separate Clubhouse from the Gardens. Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and standards. Assist in menu development, contributing creative ideas for special events. Manage banquet kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely service during events. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety guidelines. Participate in training new kitchen staff on culinary techniques and food safety practices. Requirements Proven experience in a high-volume, elevated banquet setting. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Background in the food industry with expertise in food production techniques. Excellent culinary skills with an eye for detail in presentation. Ability to manage inventory effectively and maintain organized kitchen operations. Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
