Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Chef to deliver exceptional catering/ dining experiences in a well established restaurant and catering provider in business >25 years. The current schedule is approx. 9-4 Monday through Saturday. Depending on events the schedule could have more or less time, but general service is done during this time so currently no nights or weekend work. You will oversee all aspects of food preparation, kitchen management, and menu planning, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and presentation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise while managing daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced, vibrant environment. Responsibilities Prepare all food for daily service and special events Manage inventory control and food safety protocols to minimize waste and ensure compliance with health regulations Coordinate catering events, banquets, and special functions with precision and attention to detail Oversee kitchen operations during shifts, including staffing schedules, food handling procedures, and quality assurance Collaborate with restaurant management to develop innovative culinary concepts that enhance guest satisfaction Requirements Proven experience in fine dining environments with strong culinary skills and leadership capabilities Extensive background in food preparation, kitchen management, and food service operations Demonstrated supervisory experience overseeing teams in a fast-paced setting Knowledge of dietary department standards and food safety regulations Experience with inventory management, menu planning, and catering services Skilled in cooking techniques across various cuisines with an emphasis on presentation excellence Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently Preferred qualifications include banquet experience, cooking and preparing excellent food within budget , restaurant management background, and familiarity with food industry standards. A passion for culinary innovation combined with excellent team management skills will set candidates apart. This role is ideal for a motivated professional eager to deliver memorable dining experiences.
Pay:
$24.00 - $30.00 per hour
