Job Description

Job Overview We are looking for a passionate and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team and elevate our food offerings. In this role, you'll oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and service. Must have experience in an institutional setting such as hospital, school, university or similar that includes catering, retail and cafe operations. The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader with a strong background in fine dining, catering, and restaurant management, eager to inspire their team and create memorable dining experiences. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise while managing a vibrant kitchen environment. Duties Lead and supervise the entire kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and support personnel, fostering a collaborative and motivated team atmosphere. Develop innovative menus that align with brand standards and cater to diverse dietary needs, including special dietary accommodations. Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to safety regulations. Manage inventory control and food production processes to minimize waste while maintaining optimal stock levels. Coordinate catering events and banquet services, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality dishes that meet client expectations. Implement and monitor food safety protocols across all kitchen operations to comply with health regulations. Conduct regular training sessions on culinary techniques, food handling, and safety procedures to enhance team skills. Skills Extensive culinary experience with a focus on fine dining, catering, or restaurant management. Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and dietary department practices. Expertise in menu planning, food production, and inventory management. Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with staff and front-of-house teams.
