Job Description

The brewpub at Wallenpaupack Brewing Company is a key part of our success as it is the first experience consumers have with our brand. The Line Cook, under the direction of the Executive Chef, will share in the responsibility for ensuring that our patrons are served delicious, well prepared food offerings that compliment their beverage choices and add to an incredible brewpub experience. They will also share responsibility with the Executive Chef of making sure that the food served is of optimal quality and that the kitchen environment is clean and operational.
Responsibilities:
  • Adhering to the schedule set forth by the Executive Chef and executing the duties and responsibilities assigned
  • Ensuring that all food prepared is acceptable to serve (right temperature, optimal quality)
  • Assisting with setting up the line and stations
  • Actively & efficiently participating in prep and food production during meal periods
  • Conforming to and following regulations set forth by the PA Department of Agriculture
  • Maintaining clean equipment and work area
  • Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) governing kitchen operations and equipment maintenance
  • Working towards continuous optimization of brewpub operations by providing Executive Chef and management with timely feedback
Qualifications:
  • Age 18+
  • Servesafe Preferred
  • Attention to detail, ability to multi-task and willingness to work as a team
  • Positive attitude and ability to work with a diverse set of people
  • Aptitude for and desire to learn the mechanical workings of kitchen equipment in order to address problems quickly and efficiently
  • Weekends are required
Working Conditions:
This position requires an individual who works under a range of circumstances, including: shift work, weekend work, working in the fast-paced environment of a crowded brewpub, and working within a kitchen operation.
Physical Requirements:
A line cook will be required to stand for extended periods of time. They may also be required to lift boxes 35-50 lbs.
