Pastries A-La-Carte is known in the Pittsburgh region for the caliber of our artistry and the care we put into quality ingredients and processes. Because of this, we are the official bake shop for the Pittsburgh Penguins! We are seeking a candidate who will uphold our high standards of consistency and elegance. All decorators must also be able to work quickly and efficiently and be able to meet deadlines while maintaining a quality product. What will I do? Uniformly fill, ice, and decorate dessert tortes in a range of pre-determined designs and flavors Use a pastry bag and various tip points as artist's tools to make borders and flowers. Meet deadlines to fill orders, including wholesale, and to ensure store remains filled. Work with speed, efficiency, and cleanliness. Required Qualifications Ability to follow directions and ask questions when you do not understand. Capability to stand for the duration of your shift working between both solo and team environments. Daily cleaning and sanitizing your workstation and equipment. Adhere to food safety and hygiene requirements. Ability to lift 25+ lbs. Meet speed expectations while creating consistent, attractive products. Work during holidays and know extra hours are expected during holiday seasons. Additional duties as required.
