In this pivotal role, you will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and service. Your expertise in food preparation, kitchen management, and team supervision will be instrumental in maintaining our reputation for excellence. Responsibilities Assist the Executive Chef in managing all aspects of kitchen operations, including food production, inventory control, and staff scheduling. Supervise and motivate kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow, high-quality food preparation, and adherence to safety standards. Oversee food handling procedures, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices. Lead menu planning efforts, incorporating innovative dishes while maintaining consistency with established standards. Coordinate catering events and banquet services, ensuring timely and flawless execution of all culinary offerings. Manage inventory levels meticulously, ordering supplies as needed and minimizing waste through effective stock control. Support training initiatives for new team members and ongoing development for existing staff to enhance skills and teamwork. Requirements Proven experience in fine dining establishments with a strong background in food production and kitchen management. Demonstrated supervising experience with a focus on team management and leadership skills. Extensive banquet experience and familiarity with catering operations. Knowledge of dietary department procedures, food safety protocols, and inventory management techniques. Strong cooking skills across various cuisines with an emphasis on presentation and quality. Experience in restaurant management or food service management roles is highly desirable. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and high standards of service. Excellent communication skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving and team collaboration.
