Seasonal Chef - Remote Fishing Lodge (Near Kamloops, BC)
Start Date:

Duration:
3-4 months (flexible through September)
Compensation:
Competitive salary + tips + end-of-season bonus (DOE)

Provided on-site The Opportunity We are seeking a capable, self-directed chef to lead the kitchen at a private, remote fishing lodge in British Columbia's interior. This is a unique opportunity to step away from the traditional restaurant grind and take full ownership of a seasonal culinary program in a stunning wilderness setting. You'll be cooking for a small number of guests, with the ability to design menus, manage your own kitchen rhythm, and deliver a high-quality, thoughtful dining experience. What You'll Be Doing
  • Plan and execute daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner service for lodge guests
  • Design unique daily menus with a focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients
  • Manage all food ordering, inventory, and provisioning logistics (including remote supply planning)
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen
  • Accommodate dietary restrictions and guest preferences
  • Operate independently with minimal supervision Who This Role Is For
  • An experienced chef, preferably with a minimum of Red Seal I, ready to lead a kitchen solo
  • Someone comfortable working and living in a remote environment
  • Highly organized, resourceful, and calm under pressure
  • Passionate about hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
  • Prior lodge, camp, yacht, or remote kitchen experience is a strong asset What Makes This Role Unique
  • Full creative control over menus and food program
  • Low-volume, high-quality service (no high-turnover restaurant pressure)
  • Immersive natural setting with access to fishing, hiking, and outdoor recreation
  • Opportunity to build a distinct culinary identity for yourself and the lodge
  • Accommodation and meals included for the full season Logistics
  • On-site accommodation provided (details available upon request)
  • It is preferred for you to have your own vehicle for transport but if necessary, transportation to/from the lodge can be coordinated
