Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic, dynamic and experienced Sous Chef to join our vibrant culinary team! As a key leader in our kitchen, you will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily food operations, ensuring exceptional quality, presentation, and service. Your energetic leadership will inspire our culinary staff to deliver memorable dining experiences across fine dining, catering, and banquet events. Duties Assist the Executive Chef in managing all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation standards. Supervise kitchen staff during shifts, providing guidance on food safety, hygiene, and proper handling procedures. Oversee menu planning and ensure dishes meet quality standards while maintaining consistency and creativity. Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs. Coordinate catering and banquet services, ensuring timely delivery and exceptional service for large events. Enforce strict adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation practices across all kitchen areas. Lead by example in food production, cooking techniques, and team management to foster a collaborative work environment. Requirements Proven experience in fine dining environments with strong culinary skills and leadership capabilities. Demonstrated supervisory experience managing kitchen teams effectively. Extensive knowledge of food industry standards including food safety, handling, and hygiene protocols. Experience with banquet service, catering operations, and restaurant management is highly preferred. Strong background in menu planning, inventory management, and food cost control. Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining attention to detail during busy service hours. Excellent communication skills with a passion for mentoring team members and fostering a positive work culture. $53,278.64 - $64,163.52 per year
