Overview Are you passionate about smoky flavors, expertly crafted barbecue, and creating memorable dining experiences? We are seeking a dynamic and talented Pit Master to lead our barbecue operations with enthusiasm and precision. As the heart of our culinary team, you will craft mouthwatering smoked meats, develop signature recipes, and ensure every dish meets the highest standards of quality and flavor. This role offers a unique opportunity to showcase your culinary mastery in a lively, fast-paced environment where your skills will shine and inspire. Duties Prepare and cook a variety of smoked meats, including brisket, ribs, pulled pork, and specialty items using traditional and modern techniques Develop and refine menu items to highlight smoky flavors and regional barbecue styles Oversee all aspects of meat preparation, including trimming, seasoning, marinating, and cooking to perfection Manage the smoking process by monitoring temperature controls, wood selection, and cooking times to ensure optimal results Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards throughout all stages of food handling and preparation Train team members on proper cooking techniques, knife skills, and food safety procedures Collaborate with the culinary team on menu planning for special events or catering opportunities Ensure consistent quality in every dish served by conducting regular quality checks and taste tests Skills Extensive experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or catering environment Strong knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling practices Proven culinary experience with a focus on barbecue or smoked meats; fine dining experience is a plus Excellent knife skills for trimming meats and preparing ingredients efficiently Ability to plan menus that balance flavor profiles, presentation, and customer preferences Skilled in meal preparation, food service operations, and kitchen management Experience in the food industry with a solid understanding of kitchen workflows and food industry standards Exceptional attention to detail in food presentation and flavor consistency Strong communication skills for team collaboration and customer engagement Join us as a Pit Master where your culinary expertise will ignite passion around every plate!
