The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation. This position requires a passion for culinary arts, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Sous Chef will assist in menu planning, food production, and maintaining kitchen standards. Duties Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and staff management. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to established recipes and standards. Ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining quality and presentation. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff to enhance their culinary skills and efficiency. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu development, including seasonal offerings and special events such as banquets or catering services. Help manage food production processes to ensure consistency and quality across all dishes. Experience Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or food service environment. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen management. Experience in food service management, including inventory control and staff supervision. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively. Familiarity with banquet preparation and catering services is highly desirable.
