Overview We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Catering Chef to lead culinary operations in a fast-paced, high-quality catering environment. The Catering Chef will play a vital role in ensuring food safety, maintaining high standards of presentation, and managing all aspects of kitchen operations with enthusiasm and professionalism. Duties Develop innovative menus tailored to client specifications, event themes, and dietary needs, ensuring variety and excellence in presentation Supervise food production activities, overseeing preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation of dishes to meet quality standards Lead and manage kitchen staff by providing clear direction, training, and motivation to foster teamwork and high performance Oversee inventory management including ordering supplies, controlling food costs, and reducing waste through efficient stock control Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation standards across all kitchen operations Coordinate with event planners and service teams to ensure timely delivery of food service at events and functions Manage shift schedules, monitor staff performance, and handle operational challenges promptly to maintain smooth workflow Requirements Proven experience in banquet catering, fine dining establishments, or large-scale food production environments with supervisory responsibilities Strong background in culinary arts with expertise in food handling, preparation, and presentation techniques Extensive knowledge of dietary requirements and ability to accommodate special diets within menu planning Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing kitchen teams and overseeing daily operations Familiarity with inventory control systems, food safety protocols (such as HACCP), and kitchen management software Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure Previous restaurant or catering management experience is highly desirable; experience in hospitality or food service industries will be considered an asset Join us as a Catering Chef where your culinary talents will shine!
