In this dynamic role, you will support the head chef in preparing and presenting high-quality dishes, ensuring exceptional food safety standards, and maintaining a smooth kitchen operation. Your enthusiasm for food, leadership skills, and attention to detail will contribute to delivering memorable dining experiences across various service settings, including fine dining, catering, and banquet events. Responsibilities Assist in preparing, cooking, and presenting a wide variety of menu items with precision and creativity. Support kitchen operations by managing food production, ensuring timely delivery of dishes during busy service periods. Supervise junior kitchen staff and trainees, fostering a collaborative team environment focused on excellence. Oversee inventory control and manage stock levels for ingredients, utensils, and supplies to minimize waste and optimize resources. Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards, proper handling procedures, and sanitation protocols across all kitchen areas. Contribute to menu planning by suggesting new dishes and seasonal specials based on culinary trends and guest preferences. Coordinate with catering and banquet teams for large-scale events, ensuring smooth execution from set-up to service. Support shift management duties by organizing work schedules, delegating tasks, and ensuring efficient workflow during peak hours. Experience Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment with a focus on fine dining or catering services. Demonstrated supervisory or team management experience within a culinary setting. Familiarity with banquet operations, food production processes, and dietary department requirements. Strong background in food handling, preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management practices. Knowledge of inventory management systems, food safety regulations, and restaurant or hospitality standards. Experience working in diverse food service environments such as restaurants, catering events, or hotel kitchens is highly desirable. Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism in all aspects of food service.
Pay:
$10.00 - $15.00 per hour
