Responsibilities Prepare and assemble hand rolls with precision, ensuring each piece meets high standards of presentation and flavor. Select and handle fresh seafood, vegetables, and other ingredients with strict adherence to food safety guidelines. Execute proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures to maintain a safe kitchen environment. Decorate and garnish hand rolls using techniques such as cake decorating skills to enhance visual appeal. Package finished products efficiently for dine-in or takeout orders while maintaining quality standards. Assist in food production and preparation tasks, supporting the overall kitchen operations during busy periods. Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with health regulations. Qualifications Proven experience in food preparation, especially within the food industry or restaurant settings. Strong knife skills and familiarity with sushi-making techniques, including cake decorating for presentation. Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures. Experience in baking, pastry work, or catering is a plus but not required. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Prior kitchen experience involving food production, cooking, or culinary arts is highly desirable. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks accurately.
