Job Overview Chef Tim Love is on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Sous Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. As a key player in our kitchen, you'll help lead food preparation, manage kitchen operations, and ensure that every dish meets our high standards of quality and presentation. Duties Assist the Head Chef in planning menus, ensuring they align with restaurant standards and customer preferences. Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating for both dine-in and catering events. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance on food production, safety protocols, and efficient workflow. Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen. Support banquet and catering services by coordinating food service logistics and ensuring timely delivery of dishes. Lead by example in food handling, quality control, and maintaining a positive team environment. Experience Proven experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant environments with a strong background in food production and kitchen management. Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience within a busy culinary setting. Familiarity with banquet service, catering operations, and dietary department procedures is highly desirable. Extensive knowledge of food safety standards, inventory management, and food handling practices. Hands-on experience with menu planning, food preparation techniques, and kitchen operations management. Background in hospitality or restaurant management roles that involve shift supervision and team coordination. Strong culinary skills complemented by excellent communication abilities to motivate and guide team members effectively. Pay:
$45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
