Jun 23, 2026 Be an early applicant Required Years of Experience 3 years Job Details Senior Sous Chef - Fine Dining Restaurant We are seeking an experienced, polished, and highly organized Senior Sous Chef to join our culinary leadership team at a high-level fine dining restaurant. This is a hands-on leadership role for a chef who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment and is passionate about excellence, mentorship, consistency, and hospitality. The ideal candidate is a strong leader and teacher who can execute at the highest culinary standards while building and developing a world-class kitchen team. This chef must lead by example, maintain composure under pressure, and consistently deliver exceptional food quality, organization, cleanliness, and professionalism. Key Responsibilities Support the Executive Chef and Chef de Cuisine in all kitchen operations Lead daily service execution with precision, urgency, and attention to detail Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, consistency, and sanitation Supervise, train, mentor, and develop line cooks and junior kitchen staff across all stations Ensure every station is organized, prepared, and operating at peak efficiency Foster a positive, accountable, team-oriented kitchen culture Assist with scheduling, labor management, ordering, inventory, and cost controls Monitor prep production, pars, and mise en place to ensure flawless service execution Maintain strict adherence to health department, safety, and cleanliness standards Work collaboratively with front-of-house leadership to ensure an elevated guest experience Assist with menu development, tastings, seasonal changes, and culinary innovation Coach and develop staff through hands-on training, real-time feedback, and performance management Uphold standards of professionalism, discipline, urgency, and respect throughout the kitchen Qualifications 5+ years of progressive culinary leadership experience in upscale or fine dining restaurants Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-volume, chef-driven environment Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate and inspire teams Exceptional palate, plating standards, and attention to detail Proven ability to train and develop culinary talent Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining calm and professionalism Deep understanding of classic and modern cooking techniques Experience with inventory, ordering, food cost management, and labor controls Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays Culinary degree preferred but not required for exceptional candidates What We're Looking For A true leader and team builder Passion for hospitality and culinary excellence Strong work ethic and sense of accountability High emotional intelligence and professionalism Desire to grow within a respected culinary organization Someone who leads from the front and sets the tone for the entire kitchen Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Performance bonus potential Health benefits Paid vacation Growth opportunities within a respected hospitality group Collaborative and professional work environment This is an outstanding opportunity for a driven culinary professional seeking to be part of a serious, high-level restaurant committed to excellence in food, service, culture, and execution.
