As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality sushi and other Japanese dishes while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and presentation. This role requires a deep understanding of the food industry, including meal preparation techniques and kitchen operations. If you have a love for sushi and a commitment to excellence in food service, we would love to hear from you. Working Hours: Friday-Saturday 4:30pm-10:30pm, Sunday 3:30pm-9:30pm $100/ Half Day Responsibilities Prepare a variety of sushi rolls, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with precision and creativity. Ensure all ingredients are fresh and of the highest quality by conducting regular inventory checks. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to food safety standards at all times. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Utilize proper knife skills for cutting fish, vegetables, and other ingredients efficiently. Assist in menu development by suggesting new sushi creations or seasonal offerings. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on sushi preparation techniques and food safety practices. Requirements Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within the restaurant or food service industry. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in meal preparation. Proficiency in using kitchen equipment and tools, particularly knives for sushi preparation. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members. A passion for Japanese cuisine and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
