General Manager Position Summary We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team at a luxury boutique hotel. The Sous Chef will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, maintaining exceptional food quality, and delivering memorable dining experiences for hotel guests. This role requires strong leadership, creativity, attention to detail, and a commitment to culinary excellence. Key Responsibilities Lead in managing all kitchen operations, including restaurant, banquet, and room service functions. Supervise and mentor culinary staff, ensuring high performance and professional development. Maintain consistency in food preparation, presentation, and quality standards. Monitor food costs, inventory levels, and waste reduction initiatives. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Participate in menu development, seasonal offerings, and special event planning. Coordinate with front-of-house teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Manage kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef. Maintain proper receiving, storage, and rotation of food products. Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional work environment. Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of culinary leadership experience, preferably in a boutique hotel, luxury hotel, resort, or upscale restaurant. Culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen management, and cost controls. Experience managing multiple service outlets and banquet operations. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Food Handler Certification and ServSafe Manager Certification preferred. Preferred Skills Fine dining and seasonal menu development experience. Knowledge of local and sustainable sourcing practices. Strong understanding of labor management and scheduling. Passion for hospitality and guest satisfaction.
