In this role, you will be responsible for preparing authentic sushi and Japanese cuisine with precision, creativity, and attention to detail. Your expertise will contribute to delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests, ensuring every plate is crafted with care and culinary excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary artistry in a lively, fast-paced environment dedicated to quality and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Prepare and assemble sushi dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in all food handling and preparation processes Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients to minimize waste and ensure freshness Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new menu items that highlight authentic flavors and innovative techniques Assist in meal preparation for catering events or special functions as needed Adhere to all food industry regulations, including proper knife skills, sanitation practices, and food handling procedures Support the overall kitchen operations by maintaining a clean work station, managing inventory, and ensuring timely delivery of dishes Qualifications Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or fine dining environment Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine, sushi techniques, and food presentation standards Excellent knife skills and proficiency in food preparation methods specific to sushi making Prior experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with food safety protocols Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining attention to detail Experience with menu planning, food service operations, and catering is highly desirable Commitment to food safety standards, cleanliness, and high-quality food handling practices Join us if you're eager to bring your culinary talents to life in a vibrant setting where quality matters.
