In this role, you will be the creative force behind crafting authentic and visually stunning sushi dishes that delight our guests. Your expertise in sushi preparation, knife skills, and presentation will elevate our dining experience. As a Sushi Chef, you will also contribute to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and food quality while inspiring a team of kitchen staff. Responsibilities Prepare and assemble a variety of sushi dishes with precision and artistry, ensuring consistency and quality in every plate Develop innovative sushi recipes and menu items that excite our guests and reflect current culinary trends Maintain impeccable knife skills for slicing fish, vegetables, and other ingredients efficiently and safely Uphold strict food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures throughout all stages of food handling Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate service flow, manage inventory, and ensure timely delivery of orders Monitor ingredient freshness and manage stock levels to minimize waste while maximizing quality Educate junior team members on sushi techniques, presentation styles, and safety protocols Requirements Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant or culinary setting Extensive knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, including fish filleting, rice cooking, and ingredient pairing Strong understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation practices Excellent knife skills with precision cutting abilities for various ingredients Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Creative mindset with the ability to develop new sushi recipes and presentation styles Experience working with diverse dietary needs and special diets is a plus Knowledge of culinary arts related to Japanese cuisine, including familiarity with traditional cooking methods such as rice seasoning and fish curing Join us as a Sushi Chef and bring your culinary passion to life!
