Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sushi Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality sushi dishes that delight our guests and uphold the highest standards of freshness, presentation, and authenticity. Your expertise in Japanese cuisine, combined with your creativity and attention to detail, will contribute to an exceptional dining experience. Responsibilities Prepare and assemble a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with precision and artistry Maintain the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene in all food preparation areas Develop innovative sushi recipes and presentation techniques to enhance menu offerings Manage ingredient inventory, ensuring freshness and proper storage of seafood, rice, vegetables, and other supplies Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow during busy service hours Educate team members on sushi techniques, safety procedures, and culinary best practices Uphold consistent quality control to meet restaurant standards and customer expectations Requirements Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role in a fast-paced restaurant environment Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine, sushi preparation techniques, and food safety regulations Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various sushi ingredients and tools Creative mindset with an eye for presentation and plating artistry Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays Prior experience in culinary arts or related fields such as cooking or culinary education is highly desirable Knowledge of inventory management and ingredient sourcing is a plus Join us if you're eager to bring your sushi mastery to life in a vibrant setting where your skills will shine!
