Responsibilities Prepare and assemble a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with precision and artistry Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation in all work areas Develop new sushi recipes and presentation techniques to keep menus fresh and exciting Manage ingredient inventory, ensuring freshness and proper storage of fish, rice, vegetables, and other supplies Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional customer service and ensure timely order fulfillment Educate guests about different types of sushi, ingredients, and preparation methods when appropriate Adhere to all health regulations and safety protocols while working efficiently in a fast-paced environment Experience Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar culinary role specializing in Japanese cuisine Strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, knife skills, and ingredient handling Experience with curriculum development or teaching culinary skills is a plus Familiarity with classroom management or instructing students in culinary arts or related fields Background in working with children or adults in educational or workshop settings is advantageous Culinary experience that includes lesson planning, food presentation, and culinary innovation Skills in photography or visual arts related to food styling are beneficial for creating appealing dishes Join us if you're eager to bring your sushi mastery to life in a lively setting where creativity thrives!
