The ideal candidate will bring a lively energy to the kitchen, demonstrate mastery in food handling and preparation, and inspire team collaboration. Responsibilities Prepare and craft high-quality sushi, dim sum, and other Japanese dishes with precision and creativity Lead food preparation activities, ensuring all ingredients are fresh, properly handled, and stored according to food safety standards Oversee daily kitchen operations, maintaining cleanliness, organization, and efficiency in line with health regulations Assist in menu planning by developing innovative recipes that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences Supervise junior kitchen staff, providing guidance on knife skills, food handling, and cooking techniques Ensure all food service meets the highest standards of presentation and taste for a fine dining experience Collaborate with the culinary team to manage catering orders and special events, delivering exceptional service Skills Extensive culinary experience with a focus on sushi, dim sum, or Asian cuisine; fine dining experience preferred Strong knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures Proven ability in menu planning and meal preparation that balances creativity with consistency Excellent knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques specific to Japanese cuisine Experience working in restaurant or food industry settings with a focus on food service excellence Background in dietary department or dietary aide roles is advantageous for accommodating special dietary needs Skilled in catering services and serving large or private events with professionalism and attention to detail Join us to bring your culinary passion to life!
