As our company continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Senior/Executive Sous Chef to join our culinary leadership team. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside an accomplished Executive Chef while helping lead one of the region's most respected catering operations. Unlike many executive culinary positions, this role is primarily focused on daytime production and leadership, offering an exceptional work-life balance with only limited evening and weekend commitments throughout the year for select VIP events and major productions. Job Summary Windows Catering is seeking a Senior/Executive Sous Chef with exceptional culinary skills and leadership experience to oversee daytime kitchen production, lead client tastings, and support the execution of high-profile events. This individual must bring fine dining standards, strong organizational skills, and a collaborative mindset to support our Executive Chef and broader culinary team. We are looking for a polished and passionate culinary professional with experience in luxury catering, fine dining, hotels, private clubs, or large-scale event operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and is passionate about delivering culinary excellence from preparation through presentation. Responsibilities Oversee daily daytime production operations, ensuring timely and precise preparation of all culinary components Lead client tastings in coordination with sales and executive chef teams, presenting food with professionalism and confidence Execute VIP off-premise events as needed, managing on-site culinary operations and maintaining service standards Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu development, seasonal offerings, and culinary innovation Uphold cleanliness, organization, and food safety protocols in accordance with health department and company standards Assist with ordering, inventory control, and coordination with pastry, pantry, and hot food teams Mentor and develop culinary staff while ensuring consistent quality and execution throughout production Monitor labor efficiency, food costs, and production schedules in support of operational goals Accurately document production, support post-event assessments, and ensure compliance with company procedures Participate in hiring, training, coaching, and performance management of culinary team members Qualifications Graduate of a recognized culinary institution preferred 5+ years of progressive culinary leadership experience Experience in luxury catering, fine dining restaurants, luxury hotels, private clubs, or elite event operations Demonstrated excellence in modern cooking techniques, plating, and large-scale production Strong communication skills and a polished, professional presence for client interaction Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional standards Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills Ability to lead under pressure with exceptional attention to detail Flexibility to support occasional evening and weekend VIP events throughout the year
