We are currently seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team and elevate the dining experience for our many guests.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Executive Chef will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our restaurant's reputation. This individual will lead all aspects of kitchen management, including menu development, ingredient sourcing, staff training, and kitchen operations, ensuring each dish meets our high standards of quality and sustainability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and execute dynamic menus that highlight seasonal, locally-sourced seafood and produce, aligning with our farm-to-table philosophy. Lead, inspire, and manage a full kitchen staff, fostering an environment of collaboration, professionalism, and culinary excellence. Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. Collaborate with local farmers, fishermen, and suppliers to source the best quality ingredients, emphasizing sustainability and ethical practices. Conduct regular staff training sessions on new techniques, recipes, and standards. Manage kitchen budgets, inventory, and cost control measures without compromising quality. Act as a culinary ambassador for the restaurant, engaging with guests, media, and the broader culinary community to promote our philosophy and offerings.
QUALIFICATIONS
Proven experience as an Executive Chef in a high-end, high-volume restaurant, with a significant focus on seafood and farm-to-table practices. Culinary Arts degree or equivalent professional qualifications. Extensive knowledge of seafood, including sourcing, preparation, and presentation techniques. Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, with strong managerial skills. Creative culinary skills with a proven track record of menu development. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. A passion for sustainability and a commitment to the farm-to-table movement.
