Job Description

Sake Japanese Steakhouse is committed to delivering an exceptional dining experience through fresh ingredients, authentic Japanese cuisine, and outstanding customer service. We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our team and help create high-quality sushi dishes that exceed guest expectations. Job Responsibilities Prepare and present sushi, sashimi, rolls, and other Japanese dishes according to restaurant standards. Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and handled according to food safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and kitchen areas. Monitor inventory levels and communicate ordering needs to management. Assist with menu development and seasonal specials when needed. Provide excellent customer service and interact professionally with guests. Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining quality and consistency. Follow all health, sanitation, and safety guidelines. Qualifications Previous experience as a Sushi Chef or Sushi Cook preferred. Strong knife skills and knowledge of sushi preparation techniques. Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
