Job Description

Opening Soon! Sabine Cafe and Bar is hiring an experienced, hands-on Sous Chef to join our opening leadership team. This is a chance to help launch a brand new concept, build systems from the ground up, and lead a passionate kitchen team from day one.

What You ll DoSupport the Executive Chef with daily kitchen operationsLead, train, and mentor back of house staff during serviceMaintain high standards for food quality, consistency, and presentationUphold food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards at all timesAssist with prep, line execution, inventory, and orderingHelp execute menus and keep the kitchen organized and efficientLead by example during busy, high-volume serviceFoster a positive, professional, and team-oriented kitchen cultureWhat We're Looking ForPrevious experience as a Sous Chef or strong kitchen leadership roleSolid cooking skills across multiple stationsExperience managing large event and catering ordersComfort working in a fast paced, high-volume environmentStrong communication, organization, and leadership skillsReliable, hands-on, and professional work styleAvailability to work evenings, weekends, and holidaysCompensation & Benefits$25.00 per hour + tipsManagement benefits packageLife & AD&D insurance $15,000, respectivelyTwo weeks of paid vacationSick leave accrual (WA compliant)Employee dining discountGrowth and advancement opportunitiesPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for 8 to 10 hours per shiftFrequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbsRepeated bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, and crouchingWork in a kitchen environment with heat, cold, steam, and noiseManual dexterity for knife work, prep, and equipment useReasonable accommodations may be made for qualified individuals with disabilities.
