Our semi-fine Dining establishment was named one of the 50 best new restaurants in America by Esquire magazine in 2023. We are looking to hire a chef to lead our capable team, provide creative menu direction and help us continue to give consistent and delicious cuisine to all of our guest. Duties Maintains day-to-day operation of the kitchen Maintains standards for food quality, taste and presentation Follows all appropriate policies and procedures for safe food handling and sanitation Responsible for supervision and training of kitchen personnel Demonstrates positive leadership characteristics that empower and inspire employees to meet and exceed standards Conducts daily walk-through of all walk-in refrigerators, dry storage areas and food lines to ensure rotation, usage and cleanliness during shifts Writing daily prep sheet during shifts procurement of necessary items to maintain pars from all providers during shifts creation of new menu items to enhance and compliment current menu Responsible for team adherence to standards for food quality, sanitation and safe food handling Responsible for all opening and closing kitchen procedures during shifts skills & Requirements A culinary arts degree and/or equivalent training with 5+ years in industry and 2+ years of experience in kitchen management, head chef or sou chef role in a similar environment In order to successfully perform the duties described, conflict management and negotiation skills are required Must be flexible and able to perform multiple tasks, work in stressful situations with shifting priorities Must be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and other computer programs. Must demonstrate excellent communication skills, maintain a professional demeanor and mutual respect for others.
Necessary State Food Handler's License Pay:
$27.00 - $50.00 per hour
