We will host items from the best local bakeries in Spokane as well as sell as much seasonally local produce as we are able to purchase. In this vital role, you will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen activities, ensuring exceptional food quality, and maintaining a vibrant, efficient work environment. Your expertise in casual dining, food safety, and team management will inspire excellence across all culinary endeavors. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to showcase your culinary talents while leading a dedicated team in a fast-paced hospitality setting. Duties Assist the Executive Chef in supervising daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and presentation. Lead and motivate kitchen staff to deliver outstanding service and maintain high standards of food quality. Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency, freshness, and adherence to recipes and dietary requirements. Manage inventory control and ordering to ensure optimal stock levels while minimizing waste. Enforce food safety protocols and sanitation standards to comply with health regulations. Support menu planning by contributing creative ideas aligned with current culinary trends and guest preferences. Experience Proven experience in fine or casual dining environments with a strong background in food preparation and kitchen management. Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting. Knowledge of dietary department procedures and special dietary needs accommodations. Skilled in inventory management, food handling, and cost control strategies. Familiarity with food service management systems and restaurant operations. Strong understanding of food safety standards, HACCP protocols, and sanitation practices. Experience working in the food industry with a focus on culinary excellence, team leadership, and customer service.
