Job Description

Join the Team at On Safari Foods On Safari Foods is a full service catering company specializing in exceptional off site events throughout the greater Seattle area. We are currently seeking experienced and dependable team members to join our on call event staff. Our events include weddings, corporate functions, private parties, nonprofit galas, religious celebrations, and more. Events take place 7 days a week and vary between weekdays, nights, and weekends, with schedules based on event needs. We are hiring for the following positions:
On Call & Part Time Kitchen Staff:
$22 to $24 per hour
On Call Event Chefs:
$34 to $36 per hour
Position Details:
Shifts vary between meet onsite and portal to portal shifts beginning at our SoDo kitchen for pack out, loading and unloading vans, driving to and from events, and returning equipment after the event. All positions are scheduled through the Nowsta app. We staff events in tiers based on availability, experience, skill set, professionalism, and event performance. Updated availability at least 2 weeks in advance is preferred. Most events are a minimum of 4 hours, with many lead and pack out shifts running 6 to 10+ hours for larger events. Pay rates are based on experience, position responsibilities, and event tiering.
Requirements:
Required Kitchen, catering, or event chef experience Event chef experience and food presentation skills strongly preferred for chef level assignments Able to assists with prep, pack out, loading/unloading vans, and onsite event execution Some shifts require driving to and from events from our SoDo kitchen Must be comfortable working both onsite and from our SoDo kitchen Washington State Food Handler Permit requiredHow to
