Fisher's philosophy of elevating simple ingredients, we serve Italian and Pacific Northwest-inspired cuisine alongside craft cocktails, thoughtful wine pairings, and genuine hospitality. We're looking for a Sous Chef who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and passionate about both food and leadership. This is an opportunity to join a talented team that is actively elevating our culinary program, freshly launched a new tasting menu, and investing in education, consistency, and professional growth.

We are looking for a candidate who is ready to:

Lead kitchen operations with passion, ensuring exceptional food quality and smooth service executionCollaborate closely with the Executive Chef to develop seasonal menus and refine our culinary programMentor and train cooks while fostering a culture of accountability, learning, and excellenceMaintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, organization, and executionDrive efficiency through preparation, communication, and attention to detailPartner with the Chef on ordering, inventory management, scheduling, and administrative responsibilitiesPartner with the General Manager to support front-of-house culinary education and menu knowledgeGrow into a future Executive Chef role within ESRYou already possess:

Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop othersExcellent culinary fundamentals, knife skills, and understanding of cooking techniquesPassion for seasonal ingredients, hospitality, and continuous learningUnderstanding of kitchen operations, inventory management, and cost controls or a willingness to learnAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and attention to detailStrong communication and organizational skillsPrevious leadership experience preferredWashington State Food Handler Card (required)Local restaurant experience preferred
Compensation & Benefits:
Pay:
$30 $33/hour plus overtimeThis is a 45-hour-per-week position. Sous Chefs typically receive 5 hours of overtime each week at 1.5x their base rate, creating annual earning potential of approximately $70,000 $75,000+.Think of this role as a springboard to Chef leadership. Sous Chefs at ESR are valued members of our management team and receive the mentorship, training, and support necessary to continue advancing their careers.
