The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, particularly in preparing sushi and other Japanese dishes. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes that delight our guests. As a Sushi Chef, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the standards of our kitchen while contributing to a dynamic and collaborative work environment. Responsibilities Prepare and present a variety of sushi dishes, ensuring high quality and presentation standards. Utilize various kitchen tools, including knives, to create sushi rolls, sashimi, and other Japanese specialties. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations. Support the dietary department by accommodating specific dietary requests or restrictions. Ensure all ingredients are fresh and properly stored to maintain quality. Experience Previous experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within the restaurant or food service industry is preferred. Strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques and Japanese cuisine. Familiarity with kitchen operations and food safety standards. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent knife skills and proficiency with kitchen equipment. A passion for culinary arts and willingness to learn new techniques. Experience in catering is a plus but not required.
