Job Description
Iron Goat Brewing is seeking to hire an experienced Chef to lead our kitchen! This position includes administrative as well as hands-on work to ensure that high standards are met in all aspects of kitchen operations, including leading and mentoring our fun and inclusive supportive team. Our menu includes creative specialty pizzas, bowls, sandwiches, salads, and more.
Responsibilities:
- Hiring and training new kitchen staff hires
- Scheduling staff
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment focused on collaboration and high performance
- Menu/recipe development, including seasonal menu changes and the development of weekly food specials
- Maintaining high standards of sanitation and organization in the kitchen and prep spaces
- Food and supplies ordering
- Managing costs and pricing
- Inventory management
- Food prep and cooking on the line, as needed
- Opening and closing, as needed
- Occasional dishwashing, as needed
- Assisting in content creation for social media
Requirements:
5+ years of kitchen experience Previous Head Chef, Sous Chef, or kitchen leadership experience preferred Experience developing new recipes from a variety of cuisine influences Strong leadership and organizational skills Must possess or obtain a Washington State Food Worker Card by time of hirePay:
$21- 25/hr
