Job Description

Located in the heart of Washington's wine country, Barking Frog is a highly acclaimed Woodinville restaurant with innovative seasonal menus and an award-winning cellar of Northwest and global wines. Our warm, cozy dining area embodies the same relaxed style as Willows Lodge, making Barking Frog one of the most widely desired restaurants in Woodinville and the wider Seattle area.

We are looking for someone passionate about the culinary pastry arts to join our Culinary team. This individual must be creative, motivated, and passionate about growing their talents in the kitchen! Successful candidates for this role will have previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment, with a strong desire to learn, to develop skills and work with the culinary leadership team to create menus which reflect seasonal availability and concept of the restaurant. The Pastry Cook (PT) assists the Pastry Chef in production and fabrication of food products for the Barking Frog, Fireside, and Banquets/Catering.

SUMMARY

This position is an entry level pastry cook position. The purpose of the Pastry Cook is to prepare and complete all processes in the pastry food preparation area while maintaining quality, quantity control and presentation in accordance with established standards of quality as established by the Pastry Chef.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Prepares all dishes in accordance with standards of quality, quantity control, taste and presentation as established by the Pastry Chef.

Maintain food storage areas and receive, store and rotate food stock.

Keep a clean and orderly work area especially for the crew behind you.

Must be available to work weekends and afternoon/evening shifts.
COMPENSATION
& BENEFITSWage range: $25.50.00-26.50/hour + TipsEligible for 401(k) retirement plan with employer match following 1 year of service under our existing plan5.5 days of PTO accrued in the first year based on an employee working 20 hours each week
