Job Description

Lewis River Golf is seeking an experienced and passionate Banquet Chef in charge of food production for weddings, tournaments, corporate events, and special functions. This position is ideal for a chef who thrives in a fast paced environment, takes pride in quality and presentation, and enjoys creating memorable guest experiences.

Position SummaryThe Banquet Chef is responsible for planning, preparing, and executing banquet and event menus while maintaining high standards of food quality, consistency, sanitation, and kitchen efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong culinary skills, leadership experience, and the ability to successfully manage multiple events simultaneously. This will start as a part time position which can lead in to a full time position for the right fit. ResponsibilitiesPrepare and execute banquet menus for events ranging from small gatherings to large scale functions.

Lead banquet food production from preparation through service.

Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards.

Assist with menu development and seasonal offerings.

Manage inventory, ordering, and food cost controls.

Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

Coordinate closely with event, restaurant, and management teams to ensure successful event execution.

Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.

Assist with restaurant operations and special events.

QualificationsMinimum 3 years of professional culinary experience, preferably in banquet, catering, hotel, resort, golf course, or high volume event operations.

Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.

Current food handler certification.
