The Role:
We're looking for a talented and experienced Executive Catering Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. In this role, you'll work closely with our Executive Chef to lead the kitchen team, ensuring high-quality dishes are prepared for every event. You will play a key part in menu execution, kitchen management, and food production for catered events, both large and small.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and execution of various catering events, ensuring dishes are prepared and presented to the highest standard Lead and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring smooth kitchen operations during event preparation and service Manage food inventory, ordering, and storage while adhering to budgetary guidelines Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food preparation and kitchen operations Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop manage kitchen staff and functions Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment at all times
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Executive Sous Chef, preferably in catering or high-volume food service Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, menu planning, and kitchen equipment Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and manage kitchen staff Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to maintain food quality standards while ensuring timely preparation Passion for culinary arts and a commitment to continuous learning
