Greek Cuisine Ouzo Cafe Catering Milwaukee, WI Job Details Part-time From $20 an hour 14 hours ago Qualifications Pre-cooking preparation ServSafe Menu planning Attention to detail Time management Full Job Description Greek Cuisine Chef Ouzo Cafe Catering - Southeastern Wisconsin Position Summary Ouzo Cafe Catering is seeking an experienced and passionate Greek Cuisine Chef to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing authentic Greek and Mediterranean dishes, maintaining high food quality standards, and executing catering events of various sizes. This position requires a strong understanding of traditional Greek recipes, food preparation techniques, and kitchen operations. Responsibilities Prepare and cook authentic Greek cuisine according to Ouzo Cafe recipes and standards. Execute menu items including Greek dips, spanakopita, souvlaki, Greek potatoes, salads, desserts, and specialty dishes. Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation meet company standards. Maintain proper food temperatures and adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines. Manage food preparation for catering events ranging from intimate gatherings to large-scale events. Assist with inventory management, ordering, and food cost control. Properly store, label, and rotate food products. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment. Work collaboratively with catering staff during event preparation and execution. Assist with loading, transportation, and onsite food setup as needed. Qualifications Previous professional cooking experience required. Experience preparing authentic Greek or Mediterranean cuisine strongly preferred. Knowledge of traditional Greek ingredients, cooking methods, and recipes. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced catering environment. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Reliable transportation. ServSafe Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain). Ability to work evenings, weekends, and special events as needed. Desired Skills Experience preparing large-batch catering meals. Strong attention to detail and food presentation. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Passion for Greek culture, hospitality, and cuisine. Knowledge of menu costing and portion control.
