Job Description
Amplify Children's Academy is an early childhood academy committed to fostering relationships which simulate an extension of the family and facilitating ever-changing and child-directed classroom experiences. Amplify Children's Academy is seeking an assistant chef to help in the plan and prepare meals and snacks for children, ages infant through 9 years old. The Amplichef (school cook) will be responsible for:
- planning and executing a monthly menu providing a variety of foods for breakfast, lunch, and snack
- food preparation, ensuring all health and safety standards are met per the Monongalia County Health Department
- maintaining a clean working area while preparing food
- cleaning dishes and cookware after meals and snacks are served
- possessing a knowledge of allergens in food and the special dietary needs of our students
- ordering food via our food service provider and occasionally Instacart
- holds or is willing to acquire a food manager certification
- performing other duties as assigned Approximate shift times: 6:30m
- 2:30pm, Monday through Friday.
