JOB SUMMARY
The Front Desk role is the first point of contact for customers at Higher Ground, setting the tone for a welcoming and professional dispensary experience. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail and ability to learn and understand California's cannabis regulations. The Front Desk role is responsible for greeting customers, verifying identification, managing the check-in process, and support dispensary operations to ensure compliance and efficiency.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Job duties include, but are not limited to: Greet customer in a warm, friendly and professional first impression. Verify government-issued IDs to ensure customer meet the legal age requirement Manage the flow of traffic, ensuring an organized and secrete entry process. Address customer questions or direct them to the appropriate dispensary employee for further assistance. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries. Provide administrative support to the dispensary team, including handling paperwork or assisting with inventory. Work closely with security personnel to uphold dispensary safety protocols. Adhere to all state and local cannabis regulations. Update Weedmaps, Yelp and company website Assist with stickering of inventory. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at least 21 years old High school diploma or equivalent Prior experience in a receptionist, front desk or customer service role Strong communication skills Proficiency in basic computer skills Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain customer confidentiality Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service Excellent problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong attention to detail. Must pass a background check as required by California law.
PAY TRANSPARENCY
The pay for this position is $19.00 per hour. The pay is the hourly rate.
SCHEDULE
This position requires a flexible schedule with shifts that consist of a rotating schedule of weekday and weekends shifts, including day, night and holiday work hours.

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT
Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by air conditioning systems. Must be able to and able to stand for up to 6-8 hours per day. Must be able to lift to 25-50 pounds. Requires dexterity, grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, vending, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity. Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, management and team.
