Job Description

As a SCADhome concierge specialist, you will provide valuable support services by managing routine correspondence for the department. On a daily basis, you will read, respond to, and route incoming emails to the SCADhome help desk; compose and type messages; organize and maintain the file system; file correspondence and other records; and answer a dedicated phone line. As you communicate with students, you will make department referrals, provide needed contact information, help them schedule appointments, and answer all questions about navigating SCADhome. You will also provide proactive outreach about upcoming events and activities, reminders for important dates, and suggestions for success. As necessary to meet student needs and availability, you will participate in extended office hours, including weekends and evenings, especially during move-in and move-out. The successful candidate has excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong customer service and organizational skills, and displays discipline, honesty, and integrity as they handle multiple priorities. The candidate is highly motivated, performing administrative duties as assigned and providing valuable support services to operations. The role requires undertaking operational and administrative responsibilities of the department as well as working in support of matters that require confidentiality, accuracy, and the ability to meet deadlines, both as part of a team and as an individual contributor.
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree One to three years of related experience Computer skills, including Microsoft Office (specifically Word and Excel) and Banner, or similar database Preferred qualifications: Successful work experience in an academic environment Certificates, licenses, and registrations: Valid driver's license Travel required: Less than 10% Work hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
