About the
Role:
The Guest & Connections Director is responsible for shaping how people experience and connect with the church—from their first impression to meaningful community and discipleship. This leader builds the systems, teams, and culture that help people feel welcomed, followed up with, and guided into clear next steps. This is a highly relational leadership role that combines people leadership, systems building, and consistent follow-through to ensure no one gets missed.
What Success Looks Like:
Every Sunday guest experiences a warm, clear, and well-led environment Guests are followed up with quickly, personally, and consistently A simple, clear pathway exists from first visit → connection → discipleship → serving Strong team leaders own guest experience and follow-up environments No one falls through the cracks due to strong systems and communication People are consistently getting connected in ways that fit how God has wired them
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Guest Experience Teams Develop and empower Guest Experience Team Leads (greeters, connect table, guest guides) to create a welcoming and relational Sunday environment. Shape the Sunday Guest Experience Ensure every guest experiences a smooth, warm, and well-organized Sunday from arrival to seating. Maintain visibility in the lobby and support teams in real time. Own Guest Follow-Up Build and oversee a consistent follow-up system that ensures every guest is contacted quickly and personally through text, email, or relational outreach. Build the Connection Pathway Design and maintain a clear pathway that helps people move from first visit → belonging → serving. Oversee key connection environments and next-step experiences. Lead Connection Teams & Systems Recruit and develop Follow-Up and Connection Teams who help carry relational care and communication. Build systems that ensure consistency and reliability. Oversee the Digital Front Door Help shape the first impression people get online through church communication, visit planning tools, and initial engagement pathways.
Who You Are:
A highly relational leader who naturally connects with people Energized by being around people and building relationships Strong at follow-through—you don't let people slip through gaps Able to build systems that support relational ministry Comfortable inviting people into next steps with clarity and warmth Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple moving pieces A leader of leaders who develops and multiplies others Flexible and willing to engage Sundays, evenings, or key moments as needed
Qualifications:
Strong, growing relationship with Jesus Alignment with church mission and theology Proven relational leadership experience Experience in hospitality, guest services, sales, ministry, or people leadership preferred Strong communication, organization, and systems thinking Comfortable using tools like Planning Center or similar systems
Weekly Rhythm:
This role focuses on leading Sunday guest experience, ensuring strong follow-up and communication, developing leaders, and maintaining the systems that help people move from first visit into meaningful connection.

This role is one of the primary entry points into the life of the church. When it is done well, people don't just visit—they feel seen, followed up with, and given a clear path into community and discipleship.
Pay:
$30,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year
