Job Description
Description We are looking for a dependable front desk team member to support an overnight operation for a nonprofit organization in Cincinnati, Ohio. This Contract position serves as a key point of contact for residents, guests, staff, and community responders while helping maintain a safe and orderly environment during 3rd shift. The role blends reception coverage, security awareness, and administrative support in a setting that values attention to detail, compassion, and sound judgment.
Responsibilities:
- Greet residents, visitors, employees, and service providers in a courteous manner and create a welcoming front desk experience during overnight hours.
- Guide guests to the correct destination, notify team members when someone arrives, and manage the flow of lobby activity throughout the shift.
- Observe arrivals and departures to help uphold site security standards and alert the appropriate program staff when a situation requires attention.
- Watch electronic monitoring systems and respond promptly to unusual activity or safety concerns.
- Coordinate with emergency personnel, including fire and police departments, by providing clear and timely information when urgent situations occur.
- Support evacuation procedures and assist during fire drills or other building safety activities.
- Complete assigned clerical work such as basic documentation, record updates, and front desk administrative tasks.
- Respond to residency-related questions by following established guidelines and directing individuals through the proper process. Requirements
- Previous experience in a front desk, receptionist, or administrative support role.
- Ability to remain attentive and detail oriented while working an overnight 3rd shift schedule.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact respectfully with residents, staff, visitors, and emergency responders.
- Comfort using electronic security or monitoring systems and following safety procedures.
- Solid organizational skills and the ability to handle routine clerical responsibilities accurately.
- Ability to use sound judgment in sensitive or urgent situations within a nonprofit or residential environment.
- Successful completion of all candidates required to undergo screening before starting the assignment.
