SUMMARY Provides direct customer service to all guests, visitors, students, faculty, staff and vendors to the applicable Tri-C campus or office building. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Welcomes and acknowledges all guests, visitors, students, and vendors according to College standards; anticipates and addresses service needs in a professional and courteous manner. Serves as the first point of contact for Corporate College, creating a positive and welcoming experience for all guests. Responds to inquiries on behalf of the Corporate College utilizing guest-focused interpersonal skills; provides accurate information and assistance as needed. Effectively manages all inbound and outbound phone calls in a pleasant, customer service-oriented manner, routes calls and messages appropriately. Assists with guest wayfinding, room locations, and event directions to support smooth daily operations and events. Supports event operations by monitoring schedules, communicating with internal teams, and assisting guests with event-related inquiries. Maintains awareness of daily campus activities, meetings, and events to proactively assist guests and staff. Ensures Concierge desk and lobby area are neat, organized, and professional at all times; maintains inventory of materials including College maps, brochures, and event literature. Demonstrates professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment when handling sensitive information or situations. Attends all College meetings and training sessions as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING
High School Diploma/GED and/or minimum of one year of experience in a customer service-oriented role. Demonstrated experience making sound decisions that affect a work unit or team. Demonstrated experience in a role requiring diverse problem-solving methods in a variety of situations. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES
Possesses basic knowledge of customer service concepts, practices, and procedures with the ability to use in varied situations. Possesses strong organizational and time-management skills. Possesses excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to foster a team environment and work collaboratively. Ability to research and analyze issues and develop solutions. Works accurately with great attention to detail. Demonstrated basic proficiency with Ad Astra or equivalent room scheduling program. Demonstrated basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to confidentially and discreetly handle subject matters requiring privacy and sensitivity. The work area is adequately lit, heated, and ventilated. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the duties of the job and will perform repetitive motions with hands/fingers using a computer mouse and keyboard to type.
However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items such as papers, files, pamphlets, books, etc. Work may also require walking and standing in conjunction with travel to and attendance at meetings and conferences away from the worksite. This is a Part-Time Non-Bargaining Unit Position, Grade 09, with a Minimum Hiring Rate of:
$22.00/hour Special Note:
If hired, you must reside in the state of Ohio and be within commuting distance of this work location/campus to respond to onsite work demands upon the employment start date and throughout the duration of your employment with the College, as outlined in 3354:1-40-01.1 Recruitment and Selection Procedure .
