Work-Life Balance:

We value our employees' time and prioritize a healthy work-life balance. New hires receive 2 weeks (80 hours) of paid time off (PTO) during their first year, which increases to 3 weeks (120 hours) in year two and continues to grow based on tenure. In addition, all employees receive 3 paid sick days annually—available for use starting on day one—and 11 paid holidays, plus a personal health and wellness day. Hourly employees also receive a paid 30-minute lunch break, allowing for a true 8-hour workday.

The Guest Support Specialist partners with FPTV case managers to assist guests in a 24-hour shelter setting, helping maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment. This position interacts with other staff members and supervisors and provides additional support wherever it's needed. Our ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, ready to adapt as the needs of the shelter evolve—no two days are ever the same.

Required Qualifications:

1+ years of experience in similar positions, e.g., direct care, guest assistant, front desk work. Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are highly valued and preferred! Strong integrity and commitment to client satisfaction. Passionate about ensuring excellent treatment and care for guests, clients, staff, and vendors. Proficient multitasking skills. Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills with prompt follow-through. Ability to authentically connect with others and meet participants where they are, while maintaining appropriate and professional boundaries. Ability to navigate challenging discussions with empathy, confidentiality, and respect. Pleasant, patient, and friendly attitude. Strong attention to detail. Excellent listening skills. Strong work ethic and team player mentality. Ability to handle complaints and challenging situations professionally. Willingness to work additional hours outside regular shifts, including holidays and inclement weather (preferred). Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Docs. Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen. Due to federal funding, drug use—including marijuana—is prohibited during employment. Must be 18 or older and have reliable transportation.
